Suqiya Program

Program Overview

Engineer Abdulmohsen Al-Zakri Endowments also established the Saqiya program as part of its charitable projects to deliver water to areas affected by water scarcity worldwide, in cooperation with UNESCO. The program involves extending water connections and digging wells in remote areas to provide clean, healthy water for various uses.

The program aims to find sustainable solutions to accelerate and implement water projects, such as digging wells and transporting water to areas affected by water scarcity. The program’s objectives include:

The program’s objectives are primarily based on the principles of Sharia, which emphasize the importance of providing water to relieve the needy and ensuring water tanks in every home.

Providing water is one of the key sustainable development goals that the program aims to achieve in remote areas and villages suffering from water scarcity. This ensures the individual’s right to access clean, healthy water to prevent diseases that may be caused by water shortages or contamination.
